Nurgle is nothing if not generous with his gifts, and this week, you’ll be able to pre-order even more of the suppurating servants of the Plague God for your collection.

The Pusgoyle Blightlords didn’t just inspire this article’s pun-tastic title – they’re pretty deadly on the tabletop, too. For those of you who are unfamiliar with these latest additions to the legions of Nurgle, the Pusgoyle Blightlords are Putrid Blightkings, who, through completion of various repulsive rites, have been gifted daemonic steeds by their patron – essentially, like Skullcrushers of Khorne but a lot smellier. In game, they’ll likely act as shock cavalry for your army, rapidly surging forward to occupy enemy units while the rest of your units advance.PreOrders-Jan13-PusgoyleCorrected4td.jpg

Using the Pusgoyle Blightlords kit, you’ll also be able to construct the Lord of Afflictions, a powerful commander for your force with the ability to further boost the speed of nearby Pusgoyle Blightlords. In close combat, he deals out a considerable number of mortal wounds, making him superb at dealing with heavily armoured units and monsters alike.

The Lord of Blights might not have a Rot Fly, but he does have severed heads – a LOT of them. This might not seem particularly useful in and of itself, but as you’d perhaps expect of a servant of Nurgle, these heads are more than they seem, as each serves a plague-ridden projectile that can be hurled at the foe like a grenade.

On the tabletop, the Lord of Blights can provide his unlikely bounty to nearby units of Putrid Blightkings, giving them some ranged bite, while his unique Plague of Flies command ability allows him to add some durability to larger units by subtracting from your opponents rolls to hit.

It’s not just Mortals – this week also sees some of Nurgle’s daemonic servants join the fray in both the 41st Millennium and the Mortal Realms. For those of you looking for ways to support your forces, the Sloppity Bilepiper provides handy bonuses for nearby Great Unclean Ones and Nurglings while reducing the morale of nearby enemies.

Meanwhile, the reinvented Beast of Nurgle kit allows you to build and customise these durable shock units of the Nurgle Daemons with a range of tentacles, faces and even innards, meaning if you’re looking to field a pack of these deadly monsters, then no two need look the same.
